Springboard is an exciting and innovative Community Leadership and Self-Help Groups Project operating across BD10 and surrounding areas
The Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, offers:
- Positive pathways to help local people to improve their health and wellbeing.
- Support through individual mentoring or group work activities with other people who may share similar experiences and interests.
- Tailor-made training and experience of mentoring and group work to build confidence and develop new skills.
- Help for people to access local groups, college courses and volunteering opportunities.
- Help to look for other opportunities such as paid employment or further education or training.
- One to One support – through our Springboard Social Prescribing Scheme
- Mentoring and signposting to other services
- Staff-led and user-led groups
Current Groups and activitiesinclude:
- Social and self-help groups
- Walking group
- Swimming Group
- MenTalk Support Group
- Befriending Group
- Creative Arts Group
- Llittle Chefs
- Social Prescribing individual activities e.g. gardening, walking, arts & crafts, cookery
- Confidence building activities and leadership skills.
