Coronavirus Lockdown
The Rockwell Centre and York House Advice Centre are closed to the General Public during the Covid 19 'Lockdown', however they are still operational with controlled access. The Charity has been preparing and delivering daily cooked meals and shopping services for isolated, vulnerable individuals and families throughout the crisis. This has been supplimented by regular support phone calls and virtual meetings with service users. The Centres are currently operating within strict government guidelines to run small support groups and activities to promote health and wellbeing, at a time when people are under extreme stress. The Advice Service is running two sessions a week by appointment only and links up with our local Counselling Service and Community Food Hub which have run throughout the crisis. We have have taken extensive measures to keep our facilities and services 'Covid secure' and are currently undetaking a Community Survey/Consultation to asess the impact of the Crisis on local people and what we need to do in response to local expressed needs.
